Register early as spaces are limited and fees will increase to $35.00/$40.00 the day of the event. The afternoon session will include wine, and is targeted at adults only. The morning workshop is family-friendly, and aimed at all ages. Fee includes supplies for one wreath families may work together on one wreath, or make additional wreaths by enrolling more than one person. This activity will bring out your creativity and put you in the holiday mood! Hot spiced cider and holiday music help to set the mood. This workshop is a fundraiser for the Improving Public Places group, so not only will you learn the technique and leave with a beautiful wreath, but you can feel great about contributing to civic beautification. Wear old clothes, dress warmly, and bring work gloves and pruners for snipping. Workshop fee includes one wire wreath ring, a paddle of florist wire, assorted fresh greens harvested from local parks, berries, cones, and ribbon. Bring some of your own ornaments and accents to add to the beauty and sentiment. Our workshop leaders will provide all the basic materials needed, along with hands-on instruction. Recreation staff are also tasked with operating recreation centers, picnic sites and rental facilities, preschools and select SSFUSD after school sites that serve residents of all age groups. Other programs managed by the Recreation Division include departmental Special Events and Administration. The Recreation Division consists of seven program areas, including Aquatics, Classes, Cultural Arts, Childcare, Senior Services, Sports and Rentals.
